Become a Fostering Hope champion

A champion is someone who embodies the vision and passion and wants to spread the word whenever they get an opportunity! Being a champion isn’t a role that necessarily takes up too much time, and it might involve:

  • Champion fostering in your own church and/or encourage other churches to get involved

  • Organise Fostering Hope information evening

  • Have coffee with people thinking about fostering

  • Work with your church to support the foster carers in your church

 Be an advocate

An advocate is someone who is passionate about fostering, wants to know about fostering, and wants to talk to others about fostering. It is less intense than a Champion, and is about having everyday conversations about fostering and how people can get involved.

Being an advocate isn’t a role that necessarily takes up too much time: an advocate is someone that embodies the vision and passion and wants to learn more and talk about fostering. An advocate might do one or more of the following:

  • Talk to someone about fostering

  • Read some resources

  • Talk about fostering in their everyday conversations.
